One of golf's hardest shots — the bunker shot. You usually play this shot with a club that has more loft, for example a sand wedge or a lob wedge. You can use your standard grip on the club but can often try to grip down slightly. Open up your stance and try to aim a little left of the flag (for a right-handed player) while letting the clubhead still point towards the flag. Dig your feet into the sand for increased grip and then swing in line with your feet. This results in you swinging from outside and making better use of the club's bounce. The most important thing to remember is that you let the sand lift the ball, and therefore you should try to hit the sand before the ball.
