Privacy policy

Micke P Golf AB (hereafter "MPGAB") provides the Golf4u service. We care about your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal data we hold about you. We handle your personal data carefully and you can rest assured that personal data is only processed in accordance with applicable rules.

What is personal data?

Personal data means any information that directly or indirectly can be linked to a person. Examples of personal data include name, address, phone number, personal identity number, images and audio recordings. Encrypted data and various electronic identities (such as IP addresses) also count as personal data if they can be linked to a person.

Why we collect data

To handle your order

Your personal data is primarily processed to handle your order. We do this to fulfil what we promised when you became a customer (i.e. to fulfil our contract with you). We need to be able to contact you, take payment, create your Golf ID and send you information.

To handle your purchase

Your data is also used to inform you about news, to answer questions you send to customer service, to personalise information and offers (so-called profiling) and to send marketing communications. We may also run customer satisfaction surveys.

Before and after your purchase

When you make a purchase with us and/or subscribe to our newsletter or enter a competition, we want to put your interests at the centre. You give us your consent to collect data by actively agreeing when subscribing to the newsletter or accepting competition terms. Profiling helps us understand what information is relevant to you and which marketing messages you will appreciate.

Where do we collect the data from?

We collect personal data directly from you — for example when you become a customer or when you contact us. We may also collect data from the Swedish national population register to ensure we have up-to-date information, for example if you move.

Who is the data shared with?

Your personal data is shared with various partners such as service providers on our website, our and your bank, and providers of the IT systems we need to run our business. In some cases we also share data with delivery partners.

Legal basis for processing

Your personal data is stored for as long as you have an order with warranty time, for our bookkeeping and/or if you've subscribed to our newsletter. By law, bookkeeping data (orders, invoices, payments and tax records) must be kept for seven years.

We regularly delete personal data we no longer need in order to avoid unnecessary processing.

Your rights

When your personal data is processed by MPGAB you have the following rights:

  • You have the right to know which personal data we process about you and can request a copy of it.
  • You have the right to have incorrect personal data rectified. If you are a customer, contact customer service.
  • You have the right to ask us to delete your personal data (for example if we no longer have a reason to process it or you have withdrawn consent). Even if you ask us to delete your data we may sometimes need to keep certain data, for example where the law requires it.

You have the right to object to certain processing and to request that processing is restricted, for example while incorrect data is being checked. Note that restricting or deleting your personal data may mean we cannot fulfil our obligations towards you.

You also have the right to data portability — to receive your personal data in a machine-readable format and to transfer it to another controller. This only applies to personal data you have provided yourself, that is processed automatically and that we process to fulfil our contract with you or based on your consent.

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time for processing we perform because you have consented to it. A withdrawal only applies going forward, not to processing that has already been done.

Our obligations

Our obligations are to be responsible for how your personal data is processed and to determine the purposes for which it is processed. If you have questions or wish to exercise your rights, please contact customer service at info@golf4u.se.

Security measures

Your personal data is processed according to the law and in a secure way. We have routines in place to protect your data and safeguard your privacy. We only process data we actually need and we're careful to delete personal data that is no longer needed. The systems used to process personal data are continuously updated with anti-virus software, firewalls and monitoring. We require and verify that our partners also process your personal data securely and in line with the law.
