How to take your Green Card with our online course — three steps
Sweden's largest and most popular Green Card course since 2016
Golf4u is an accessible, convenient and affordable beginner course for anyone who wants to get their Green Card. We launched in 2016 and are Sweden's largest and most popular Green Card course.
When you purchase our course you get access to quizzes and videos for 12 months.
Below you'll find more information about how it works to get your Green Card with our course in 3 simple steps. The course is digital and can be started whenever it suits you!
Take the quizzes
Quickly find out what you already know and what you need to learn when it comes to theory and practice. Take the quizzes whenever you want, wherever you want and as many times as you want. Depending on plan, the course unlocks 11 quizzes (Bas) or 13 (Friskvård) with about 6-8 multiple-choice questions in categories like the game, etiquette and rules. Each quiz takes about 2–5 min, and you can retake them as many times as you like as long as you are a Golf4u customer. Right after completing a quiz you get feedback and references to the videos that will support your learning.
To make sure you feel confident and have sufficient knowledge, you need all answers correct on every quiz. For educational reasons there is always a "don't know" option. If you are unsure or tempted to guess, choose that option so that you get feedback with video references — so the next time you take the quiz you have learned and are sure of the correct answer.
Watch videos & practice
After completing a quiz you get feedback on which videos you should watch. Practice the elements you specifically need to learn. There are over 35 videos covering both practice and theory — everything from the different shots to rules and etiquette. The videos are about 1–4 minutes long and are built in an easy-to-understand, pedagogical way. You can watch them as many times as you want, at home or on your phone when training at a golf facility.
You can of course also access all videos via our "video library". During the 12 months you are a customer, you can take the quizzes and watch the videos as many times as you want. This enables learning over a longer period and you can "go back" to learn more when a specific situation arises during play. There are also a few open videos you can watch while logged out — available even for those who haven't become a customer yet.
Playing test & final exam
Once you have completed steps 1 and 2 it's time for the final step, which consists of a playing test and a final exam on your theoretical knowledge. When that is done and your playing test has been activated, you have earned your Green Card.
The final theory exam is done via the Swedish Golf Federation (SGF). It consists of quizzes on the theoretical parts and can also be taken as many times as you like (and you can retake any parts you didn't pass). When you have passed all the quizzes in your plan, you are ready for the final exam, which you can easily access via "My page" on Golf4u.
The playing test is done with a partner who has an active Swedish Golf-ID and handicap 36 or lower. You take the playing test at a golf club with a "real" course that is sloped and allows play for people in training who don't yet have a Green Card. A sloped course means it has been course-rated and has a slope table with the Golf Federation logo.
NOTE! Make sure you check in good time what the rules are for the playing test at the specific golf club/course where you want to take the test.
Detailed information about the playing testAfter the Green Card
To get a Green Card you don't necessarily need a membership at any golf club. Golf4u guides you to the Green Card. To then play on most courses in Sweden, you need an active membership (e.g. full or greenfee) at a golf club. Membership can be obtained via e.g. Bryttsätter GK which offers attractive greenfee memberships, or directly with the golf club that suits you best.
